We’re glad you’re reading this, and we know that it isn’t by accident. Everyone has a next step, including a place to belong, a chance to make a difference and a way to grow on your spiritual journey.
Jesus came to earth, died on a cross, and was raised to life to rescue you from sin, make you alive, and bring you into eternal relationship with God.
This next step—known as salvation—isn’t just a matter of life after death, it’s how you can live the abundant life Jesus promised here on earth.
In order to live out God’s intended purposes for you, not only during your life on earth, but for all of eternity in heaven, you must respond to what Jesus has done for you on the cross. God doesn’t force people to turn to Him and become His children, but He lovingly and openly adopts into His eternal family anyone and everyone who comes to Him by faith in Jesus.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved… For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9,13 ESV)
Baptism is an important part of each person’s faith story. It is an outward sign—a step of obedience—taken by a disciple of Jesus Christ. The word “baptize” comes from the Greek, meaning “to immerse” (with water). Baptism itself does not “save” a person. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, for salvation from sin and spiritual death (Eph. 2: 8-9).
